A headlamp features selectively activated light sources to illuminate a combined view area wider than individual sources. Multiple lighting modes allow tailored illumination for diverse environments. The design enhances peripheral vision coverage, improving safety and usability in low-light conditions.
1. A headlamp, comprising:
 a plurality of light sources, comprising:
 a first light source comprising a first light emitting diode, a first lens, and a first reflector to illuminate a first view area in a first fixed direction from the headlamp;
 and a second light source comprising a second light emitting diode, a second lens, and a second reflector to illuminate a second view area in a second fixed direction from the headlamp;
 and a lighting control module configured to selectively activate the plurality of light sources according to a plurality of lighting modes, where the plurality of lighting modes comprises at least a first lighting mode that activates the first light source and the second light source to illuminate the first view area and the second view area to create a total combined view area that is wider than either the first view area or the second view area alone.

A headlamp integrates a motion sensor to detect external movement and adjust lighting modes accordingly. The standby mode activation based on motion absence enhances energy efficiency. Multifunctional switch control provides user-friendly operation for diverse lighting needs.
1. A headlamp, comprising:
 a plurality of light sources disposed within a housing;
 a motion sensor configured to determine motion external to the headlamp;
 a multifunctional switch;
 and a lighting control module configured to:
 select a first mode from a plurality of lighting modes based on the multifunctional switch;
 receive motion sensor data from the motion sensor;
 determine a lack of motion is detected for a threshold period based on the motion sensor data;
 and initiate a standby mode of the plurality of lighting modes based on the lack of motion.
