June Update

📦🚀 Here’s what we shipped in June! 🎉🛠️

✅ USPTO + Espacenet Ingestion

We now automatically enrich customer portfolios with authoritative records from the USPTO and Espacenet. This ensures:

  • Cross-verification of filing data between law firms and government records.
  • Comprehensive, real-time portfolio coverage with minimal blind spots.

🚦 Auto-Tracking Stage Changes for Disclosures

Customers can now define custom, multi-stage workflows for managing disclosures before filing with automatic status tracking.

A typical workflow might look like:

  1. Inventor submits IDF
  2. In-house counsel approves IDF
  3. Outside counsel schedules meeting with inventor
  4. Outside counsel sends first draft to in-house counsel
  5. Outside counsel sends final draft to in-house counsel
  6. In-house counsel approves for filing
  7. Outside counsel requests approval from inventors
  8. Outside counsel files case

ArcPrime auto-tracks status changes from idea submission to filing — no manual tagging needed. This keeps teams aligned and processes auditable without admin overhead.

🧠 Patent Committee Module

Now live: the Patent Committee workflow.

  • Anyone in the organization can submit invention ideas.
  • Submitted disclosures can route to a designated Patent Committee for review.
  • Each committee member’s individual decision is recorded and visible to in-house counsel.
  • Committee members only see disclosures assigned to them, keeping reviews focused and confidential.

🌿 Sibling Family Grouping

At ArcPrime, we group patents by siblings to reflect the core invention or concept - not just filing lineage.

Patent siblings are cases filed in different countries that reflect the same core idea. Unlike a “simple” family (which groups cases by identical priority), sibling groupings focus on conceptual similarity, so continuations (CONs) that diverge in scope are treated as separate sibling families.

This enables counsel to:

  • Tailor decisions to each core concept
  • Spot when related filings require different legal or strategic treatment
  • Better assess global coverage, pruning needs, or licensing opportunities

🔍 Patent Search + Similarity Mapping

We’ve implemented both fuzzy and semantic search across patent cases and invention disclosures.

  • Easily discover similar patents or IDFs when evaluating new ideas.
  • Find related cases when during pre-filing, prosecution, continuation decisions, or pruning workflows.
