Invention Disclosure Workflow: Version History and Figures

An invention disclosure needs its figures and tables in the text and every earlier version a click away. Every change to a disclosure is kept as a labeled version in ArcPrime's invention disclosure workflow, where counsel can compare versions or restore an earlier one. The same disclosure holds its figures and tables in rich text, at the point in the description where each one was inserted.

ArcPrime is the AI native IP Management System covering the full patent lifecycle in one platform, from invention disclosure to enforcement.

How do you track changes to an invention disclosure?

In ArcPrime, every change to an invention disclosure is saved as a version labeled by its source, which is a manual edit, a regeneration with AI, or a merge of another disclosure into it. Each AI regeneration is recorded in the invention disclosure version history as its own entry beside the manual edits made before and after it.

How are changes between disclosure versions shown?

ArcPrime marks the changes between versions inline in the disclosure itself, the way tracked changes look in Google Docs, with deleted text struck through and new text underlined. The marks extend to rich text, down to an edit in a single table cell.

Counsel reviewing a second or third version of a disclosure can read the marked changes without setting two copies side by side and rereading both end to end.

Can an earlier version of a disclosure be restored?

An earlier version of a disclosure can be restored in ArcPrime, and its content becomes the current disclosure. An AI regeneration or a merge can therefore be tried on a disclosure with the prior text still recoverable from its history.

Can an invention disclosure include figures and tables?

An invention disclosure with figures in ArcPrime can include tables and inline images, each placed where the author inserted it in the description. Disclosures captured by the routes described in the invention disclosures your process never sees are written in the same rich text fields.

Reviewers see a rich text invention disclosure with the same headings, tables and figures, in the same order, that the inventor used when writing it. Version history and rich text fields both sit within ArcPrime's invention disclosure management, and the marked changes between two versions of one disclosure are part of the demo.
