Invention Disclosure Form Questions Only Counsel See

A question marked for counsel only keeps counsel's own assessment of an invention on the invention disclosure form, out of the inventor's view. In ArcPrime's invention disclosure management, any question a company adds to its form can carry that marking. AI drafts a first answer to each of those questions from the inventor's submission, and counsel edit that answer on the disclosure next to everything the inventor wrote.
ArcPrime is the AI native IP Management System covering the full patent lifecycle in one platform, from invention disclosure to enforcement.
Can an invention disclosure form have questions the inventor can't see?
An invention disclosure form in ArcPrime can hold questions that only counsel see, through a visibility setting on each question the company adds to the form. Each added question can be visible to everyone, or it can be marked for the company's IP team only or for that team and outside counsel together. A company might add a question on patentability or on filing priority for counsel to answer while the technical questions on the same form stay open to the inventor. Because the answer belongs to counsel, a question marked for counsel is never one the inventor has to fill in before submitting.
A company's standard questions can be shown or turned off but cannot be marked for counsel.
Who can see questions marked for counsel only?
Questions marked for the company's IP team only are visible to its attorneys and its IP paralegals. Outside counsel never see them. Questions marked for outside counsel as well reach the outside attorneys and paralegals working with the company, though only on disclosures they can already open.
Each question is marked on its own, so a company might share a question on filing priority with a firm drafting the patent application and keep a question on business value inside its own IP team.
Does the inventor ever see counsel's questions or answers?
Questions marked for counsel and their answers never appear to the inventor anywhere in ArcPrime, whether on the form, on the submitted disclosure or in an email. That includes the email asking the inventor to approve a draft of the disclosure. The inventor's view of the disclosure's version history does not show counsel's answers either.
ArcPrime withholds counsel's questions and answers before any page or email reaches the inventor. When ArcPrime's AI writes anything the inventor will read, such as an email to the inventor or the inventor's own copy of the form, it omits every question and answer marked for counsel.
How does AI answer the questions only counsel see?
When counsel open a submitted disclosure, ArcPrime's AI has already drafted an answer to each question marked for counsel from what the inventor submitted. The drafting works the same however the disclosure arrived, whether the inventor filled in the form, uploaded a document, went through an interview, or had the invention captured from conversations at work. Counsel can keep the drafted answer or rewrite it inline, where it is saved with the rest of the disclosure.
ArcPrime's invention disclosure software keeps counsel's answers on the disclosure itself. When a company later edits the questions on its form, the answers counsel already wrote stay in place.
